Best Art Galleries: Cernuda Arte

Cernuda Arte gives Coral Gables a distinctly specialized place to encounter Cuban art, with works spanning the colonial period, modernism and contemporary practice. Its more than 25 years of expertise lends context to a collection centered on important Cuban artists rather than a broadly defined mix of international art. The gallery’s range makes it relevant to both serious collectors and visitors interested in the cultural history reflected through Cuban art. Its ability to buy, sell, certify and appraise works adds a level of professional knowledge that sets it apart from a gallery focused solely on display. At 3155 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Cernuda Arte belongs on the Best of Coral Gables Shopping list for making specialized art expertise part of the city’s retail identity.
