The Coral Gables Farmers Market returned to the front lawn of City Hall on Jan. 17, marking the start of its 2026 winter season of weekly outdoor markets. The market will continue each Saturday through March 28, operating from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 405 Biltmore Way.

Held in the civic heart of Coral Gables, the seasonal market brings together local farmers, food vendors, artisans, and community organizations in a setting designed to serve both regular shoppers and families looking for a weekend outing.

Local vendors and fresh offerings

The market features a rotating mix of vendors offering locally sourced fruits and vegetables, prepared foods, baked goods, floral arrangements, and specialty products such as artisan-made jams and condiments. Organizers emphasize support for small-scale farmers and local producers, with many vendors returning year after year.

Visitors can browse fresh produce while sampling gourmet meals and packaged foods, making the market both a shopping destination and a casual place to linger during the morning hours.

Family-friendly programming

In addition to food and retail offerings, the farmers market includes programming aimed at children and families. Scheduled activities throughout the season include chef demonstrations led by local culinary talent, arts-and-crafts activities, and free gardening workshops.

Market organizers have positioned the event as a community gathering as much as a shopping experience, with open space and programming designed to encourage longer visits and repeat attendance.

Sustainability Village planned for March 28

The season will conclude on March 28 with a Sustainability Village, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day. Hosted by the city’s sustainability team, the village will feature educational booths focused on recycling, conservation, sustainable transportation, and other environmental initiatives underway in the community and beyond.

As part of the event, attendees will be invited to bring plastic bags and plastic film for on-site collection through the city’s NexTrex Plastic Film Recycling Program.

Weekly schedule

The farmers market operates every Saturday through the end of March, with market dates on Jan. 24, and 31; Feb. 7, 14, 21, and 28; and March 7, 14, 21, and 28. All markets run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Located near City Hall and within walking distance of Merrick Park, the market adds to the city’s winter weekend offerings by combining local commerce, outdoor activity, and family-oriented programming.
