Alhambra Circle turns into an open-air celebration of food, music, and community as Burgerliscious returns to the heart of Coral Gables. This year’s event — the 14th edition of the popular block-party festival — takes place Thursday, Feb. 5, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., bringing together some of the city’s best-known restaurants for an evening of friendly competition, live entertainment, and culinary indulgence.

Now in its 14th year, Burgerliscious has become one of Coral Gables’ signature annual gatherings, drawing crowds from across South Florida for a street-festival celebration of creative burgers and live entertainment.

Presented by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, Burgerliscious has grown into one of the community’s signature annual gatherings, drawing burger lovers from across South Florida to sample creative takes on the classic dish while enjoying a lively street-festival atmosphere.

For the duration of the event, Alhambra Circle — stretching from Ponce de Leon Boulevard to Salzedo Street — will close to traffic, allowing guests to stroll freely between tasting stations as restaurants go head-to-head for two coveted honors: the juried “Best in Bun” award and the crowd-favorite “People’s Choice” title.

A competitive lineup of local favorites

Defending its People’s Choice crown is PINCHO, returning alongside a lineup that blends upscale dining with neighborhood staples. Participating restaurants include:

  • Kitchen 57
  • 450 Gradi
  • PINCHO
  • Morton’s The Steakhouse – Coral Gables
  • Bulla Gastrobar
  • ARCANO Miami
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House – Coral Gables
  • Guayaba Restaurant
  • Playa Bowls Coral Gables
  • Pinecrest Bakery – Coral Gables
  • Let Them Have Cake

More restaurants may be announced leading up to the event, continuing Burgerliscious’ tradition of showcasing a wide range of culinary styles.

From gourmet steakhouse creations to inventive casual twists, the festival offers a tasting tour of Coral Gables’ evolving food scene — all centered around one beloved comfort food.

Music and entertainment set the mood

Beyond the burger competition, Burgerliscious is designed as a full evening out. Live entertainment unfolds throughout the night, beginning with a DJ set to warm up the crowd before a high-energy performance by Mad World Orchestra.

Known for recreating the sound and spirit of alternative ’80s music, the band will perform two sets during the evening, bringing a nostalgic soundtrack to the festivities. Award announcements for Best in Bun and People’s Choice are scheduled between performances, keeping the energy high as attendees cast their votes.

Guests can also enjoy cold beverages, including beer offerings, as they sample burgers and mingle along the closed-off street.

A community tradition in the City Beautiful

Over its 14-year history, Burgerliscious has become more than a food festival — it’s a social gathering that draws residents, business leaders, and visitors into Coral Gables’ downtown core.

The event highlights the city’s thriving restaurant scene while supporting the Chamber’s efforts to promote local businesses and strengthen community connections.

With its combination of friendly rivalry, live music, and open-air atmosphere, Burgerliscious offers a taste of Coral Gables at its most festive — where food, culture, and civic pride meet.
