On February 28, 2025, the Coral Gables Community Foundation announced that Mary Snow, who served as President and CEO for over a decade, has transitioned to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. During her tenure, Snow significantly increased the Foundation’s annual community impact from less than $100,000 to over $5 million.
“We are deeply grateful to Mary for her extraordinary leadership and dedication,” said Michael Walsh, Chair of the Board of Directors and principal at Evensky & Katz Foldes. “Her vision and hard work have elevated the Foundation to new heights, and we are thrilled that she will continue to contribute to our success as a member of the Board of Directors,” he added.
The board has decided to form a search committee, which Walsh will lead, to find a new CEO.
In the interim, Rolando Rodriguez, CFRE has been appointed Interim CEO.
According to a statement by the foundation, “Rodriguez was selected based on his 30+ years of experience in developing fundraising foundations engaging boards to help non-profit organizations expand their revenue exponentially. For the last three years, he has been the steward of the Foundations’ strategic planning process.”
“Rolando not only knows the Foundation inside and out, but he is also a force for accountability, and we expect a smooth transition while the search progresses,” Walsh added.

Wishing Mary every success in her new job but I know everyone, especially me, will miss her at CGCF. She has truly inspired CGCF to lofty goals that continue to be realized. I am so proud of her . What a rare talent!
Mary has been an amazing leader. She has truly taken the CGF to the next level. Look forward to seeing her continued success on this new journey.
Mary will not be easily replaced. You can’t buy the kind of commitment she brought to the growth of the Community Foundation. It was more than her “job”. Mary truly cares.
Mary has done an outstanding job for the CGF. I hate to see her go. I’m sure she will continue her good work in the committee.
Mary was the heart and soul of the Foundation. Glad she’ll be on the board of directors, but her CEO shoes will be very hard to fill. I wish her the best!
Very insightful and helpful.
Developer money appears to have influened Mary Snow in the past.
We were friends before she became Foundation CEO.
Then she became COLD to me. Possibly in part for this reason.
I enjoyed working for Mary and the Staff at the Foundation are such hard workers. Blessing to her and her family. She will do very well wherever she goes.
