The 32nd season of the Mainly Mozart Festival, titled Echoes in Motion, returns from Saturday, May 17 to June 8, offering a rich tapestry of classical performances that blend tradition with innovation. Presented by the Miami Chamber Music Society, this year’s festival spans multiple venues across Coral Gables and Miami Beach, featuring a lineup of esteemed artists and ensembles.
Opening Weekend: Piano Fantasies with Jack Gao
The festival commences on Saturday, May 17 at 4 PM at the Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables with Piano Fantasies, a solo recital by Jack Gao, the 2023 Naumburg International Piano Competition winner. Gao’s program delves into the realm of musical fantasy, featuring works by Mozart, Chopin, Scriabin, and Ravel. An encore performance is scheduled for Sunday, May 18 at 2 PM at the Miami Beach Community Church, providing audiences with another opportunity to experience Gao’s evocative interpretations.
