Carnaval on the Mile, a vibrant celebration of Miami’s rich cultural tapestry, returns to Coral Gables on March 1st and 2nd. This free, family-friendly festival transforms the iconic Miracle Mile into a lively corridor of art, music, and culinary delights, marking its 26th anniversary.
Festival Highlights:
- Art: Explore over 100 artist booths east and west of Ponce de Leon Boulevard, showcasing a diverse array of paintings, photography, jewelry, and crafts.
- Music: Enjoy live performances across three stages located at Douglas Road (SW 37th Avenue), Le Jeune Road (SW 42nd Avenue), and a central stage at Ponce de Leon Boulevard. The lineup features genres like jazz, funk, rock, Latin jazz, and blues, with headliners including Grammy-winning flutist Nestor Torres, Cuban singer Leoni Torres, folk ensemble Cortadito, Pedrito Martinez, and Paco Versailles.
- Culinary Delights: Savor a melting pot of global cuisines from over 50 street food vendors, offering everything from carnival classics to international dishes.
- Kidz Nook: Families can visit the Kidz Nook, presented by Academica, for interactive games and activities designed to engage children of all ages.
Carnaval on the Mile is part of the eight-week-long Carnaval Miami festivities, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana to benefit the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation.
