Beethoven by Candlelight at Coral Gables Congregational Church

Classical music lovers will have a chance to experience the timeless works of Beethoven in a uniquely intimate setting as the Candlelight Concert Series brings its signature glow to Coral Gables Congregational Church, 3010 De Soto Blvd., on Thursday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m.

Titled “Candlelight: Beethoven’s Best Works,” the one-hour program will be performed by the Collins Quartet beneath the warm flicker of candlelight in one of the city’s most architecturally stunning venues. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis within each ticketed zone. Late entry will not be permitted.

Presented as part of a broader initiative to reimagine live classical music in visually striking locations, the Candlelight Concert Series has garnered a national following for its multisensory approach to chamber music. The Coral Gables performance is one of several planned for Miami this spring, offering audiences a chance to hear masterworks in an atmosphere more evocative than traditional concert halls. • Quartet No. 1 in F Major, Op. 18, No. 2: Adagio
  • Selections from Quartet No. 3, Op. 59: Minuette and Allegro Molto

The event is open to patrons ages 8 and up, with minors under 16 required to attend with an adult. The venue is ADA accessible, and group ticket options are available for parties of 30 or more. Those interested in purchasing tickets or gift cards, or in exploring additional candlelight performances in Miami, can find more information through the event’s official site.

With limited seating and the immersive nature of the performance, the evening is expected to offer an unforgettable encounter with Beethoven’s music, illuminated by candlelight and surrounded by Coral Gables’ historic charm.
